The legal holidays and observed days have been getting more and more spread out over time in Canada.
Christmas, Labour day and July 1st remain as national legal holidays but others have become more pronouncedly different from place to place.

  • Canada Day, national, July 1st, Tuesday
  • Civic holiday, BC, SK, ON, MB, NU, August 4rth, Monday
  • Labour Day, National, September 1, Monday.
  • Thanksgiving, national except NB, ON, QC, NS ,October 13th, Monday
  • Halloween, not a stat holiday, October 31, Friday
  • Remembrance  day, national except for NB, ON, QC, NS November 11, Tuesday
  • Christmas Day, national December 25th, Thursday
  • Boxing Day, ON, an option in other provinces December 26th,Friday
