September 15th the Terry Fox run is on again. The event is held on the second Sunday after labour day.Terry tryed to run across Canada for Cancer research after losing a leg to the disease. The young man in his twenties only made it to Ontario from the east coast and had to quit because of the reoccurrence of the disease. Terry died shortly after however many Canadians took up to finished his run in fundraising events such as the annual public one day run.
Steve Fonyo later completed a cross-country run but never had the same effect as Terry did.
