Film Review: British: Comedy something about a double barrel shotguns: Guy Ritchie, Winner best new Filmmaker award: Movie Awards

Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels 1999, DVD

This film is circular in its presentation of a criminal lifestyle in England. There is little redeeming ,as the plot is obscure and the acting boisterous and cheap.

This film is so thin that it takes irony and makes it into an attempt at a plot. A value only appreciated by those that think in the terms of cheating ,thug-ery and bravado.

The lack of police interest in the activities by the writers further cheapens the production to the point of the unintelligent.  An ,oh I get it social statement ,could only be taken up by those that cannot find value without a stick pointer.

Fargo was dark humour this is dark slap stick that Charlie Chaplin fans would miss. The keystone cops are one thing this is not anything.

Restaurant Review:  $3.95 Breakfast special Tropico spice

The restaurant is spacious and clean. There is some privacy in dividers and large straight back cushioned chairs about large tables. A simple plain breakfast of 2 pancakes and two strips of bacon with one egg any style is served up on a glass plate with real cutlery. The placard outside says staring daily at 6:30 am they highlight it as being homemade. The service and is good and quick but the tone is not fast food.

Oriental in style Tropico Spice has level entry of Voght Street in Merritt  with a large parking lot that borders the city hall and convention center.
